ADAS Camera Calibration in Fort Worth
Fort Worth's certified option for windshield camera calibration. Included with replacement. Veteran-owned.
Why Your New Windshield Needs Calibration
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) rely on cameras mounted to your windshield behind the rearview mirror. These cameras control:
- Lane Departure Warning
- Automatic Emergency Braking
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Collision Avoidance
When a windshield is replaced, the camera is removed and reattached. Even a millimeter of difference in the mounting angle means the camera is looking at the wrong spot on the road. Calibration realigns the camera's software to its new physical position.
The Danger of Skipping It
If uncalibrated, your car might think you are drifting out of your lane when you aren't, or fail to brake for an obstacle because the camera is aimed too high.
Static vs. Dynamic Calibration
Different manufacturers require different calibration methods. We are equipped for both.
Static Calibration
Performed inside our shop. We set up highly precise physical targets at exact distances from your vehicle while it sits on a level floor. The vehicle's computer is instructed to look for these targets and recalibrate itself.
Dynamic Calibration
Performed on the road. We connect our diagnostic equipment to your vehicle and drive it at specific speeds on well-marked roads until the camera successfully recalibrates itself by observing the road lines.
Don't worry about which one you need — our software tells us exactly what your VIN requires.
Never Let a Shop Skip Calibration
Some cut-rate shops will replace your windshield and tell you "the camera looks fine." This is incredibly dangerous and leaves you liable if the safety systems fail in an accident. We provide a printed certificate of successful calibration with every ADAS windshield replacement.
